Personal Photo Albums

Help with personalizing a photo album??

I'm making a photo album of all of my pictures from when i was a baby to now...What I wanna do though is separate the baby years, toddler years, etc... and i need some creative ideas of how to make a photo album really personal and cute! Any suggestions are welcome :D

1. Make a scrap book... go to craft stores and there will be a BUNCH of things you can use to decorate your album... stamps, stencils, stickers, etc.
2. I use all kinds of things I can find around the house in my photo albums. Sometimes I glue in ribbon or lace from my favorite jammies, buttons, broken pieces of jewelry. I save things like ticket stubs and programs from events that I will cut up and add to pages. I save old greeting cards and wrapping paper from special gifts and cut out themes and motifs from them, too. I've even used the netting that onions, lemons and limes come in for texture.
3. if you don't have much $$..you could cut the edges of the photos, or if you have more than one tear the edges...be careful not to tear into the picture too far. use old tissue paper, old construction paper, or old funny papers as a back ground or "mat"..if you have a little extra time, and $...go to a craft store, or discount store-craft section-, and buy the little extras you like...scalloped scissors, stickers, etc... have fun with it!! if you don't like it-you can always change the back grounds!!!
