Best way to hold pictures in place in a photo album?

I'm putting together a photo album and bought a regular photo album/scrapbook at an arts store. The pages inside are the regular ones where you place the photo in between the plastic and the paper behind it, but of course the pictures won't stay in place. What's the best way to hold the pictures in place in the album?

  1. you could put paper underneath to increase friction and take up space
  2. Head to Hobby Lobby or Michael's and go to their scrapbooking section. Where they have adhesives, you'll find double-sided tape and photo mounting squares. Make sure that you buy acid-free tape otherwise it'll ruin your photos!
  3. probly stickers and tape
  4. Get some double-sided adhesive specifically for scrapbooks. But I would recommend a different kind of scrapbook because there is something in the paper that ends up ruining your photos (found this out through some scrapbooking classes).
  5. Hopefully your photo album is archival, meaning there are no harmful acids in the paper which could cause them to become discolored over time. I would then go to any photo supply store and buy archival (or acid free) photo corners which you can then place on all 4 corners of the photo and slide back into place.
